Korean culture

INTRODUCTION

Or when the unification of Korea is known as Choson, a country nicknamed the Land Of Morning Calm, a culture that is priceless. Call it for example is Bulguksa Temple, the oldest observatory in the world-Ch'omsongdae, until the Tugu Ssanggyong. That new culture not to mention a physical shape that is immaterial culture or in other words the ideal culture. Because it is culture that seems not only its form but also, that his form is not visible by naked eye but actually there is, this is called an ideal of culture or cultural ideas.

Ideal culture of Korea, is actually mostly just an ideal culture derivatives. An example is the teaching of Hu-Chu-Kong are embedded in social life and work ethic of Koreans certainly not the ideal original Korean culture, because as we all know that Kong-Hu-Cu is the ideal of Chinese culture with the initiators is Confucius, a Chinese philosopher. Then, there is a religious spirit that comes from the Buddhist culture that encourage followers to Buddhism, this is what makes people interested in Korean religion.

But, of course there is the original ideal Korean culture, such as Hwangdo (Road Knights). Hwangdo teaches that the Koreans must have high integrity and discipline. Hwangdo in the past was only for royalty but now all the Koreans to apply it. ISSUES

Cultures which the author mentioned in the introduction, seems to be the foundations for Korean culture now. Perhaps we can say all cultures are united Korea (Choson) became the foundation for Korean culture now. Because you want to make sure that all cultures are united Korea is now the foundation of Korean culture and in particular South Korean culture as well as to answer the question: "if only South Korea to adopt unified Korean culture, while North Korea did not adopt him? Thus, the authors make this paper entitled "Culture of South Korea is the Korean Cultural Unity." DISCUSSION

Korean culture originated from the birth of the first Korean kingdom, the Choson kingdom in the kingdom because of this that tell the tale born ancestor of Koreans. This tale is known by the name Tan'gun legend. This tale tells that there is a sky god named Hwanung who fell to earth, then he asked his men to come down to earth. On earth they founded the kingdom in a place, where else if not on the Korean peninsula.

One time, there is a tiger and a bear met Hwanung with the aim of asking Hwanung for themselves tangible change animals into humans. Hwanung grant their request, he gave a number of grass and some garlic cloves and ordered them to eat it and avoid the sun for 100 days. They must carry out these orders if they want to be human.

Who carry out orders Hwanung Bear patiently eventually transformed into a woman in less than two months, but the Tigers are impatient execute command failed Hwanung incarnate. Because the tiger does not stand to eat garlic and continuous grass then, he's finally out of the cave and eat the meat. In fact, if the tiger had to be patient for another week, according to Hwanung tiger becomes a man and of course paired with a female bear it.

Hwanung feel empathy with a bear who becomes the woman because she did not have a spouse and eventually married her Hwanung. Then, they have a son who was named Tan'gun which then became the ancestors of the Korean nation. Around the year 2300 BC, tribes unite Tan'gun Tungusic and later founded the kingdom known for its ancient Choson kingdom with its capital Asadah (Pyongyang now).

Although legend Tan'gun just a myth that is less supported by historical facts, but reflect the idealism of the Korean legend and gives pride of the Korean people as a nation that has the oldest history and culture. Therefore, the Korean nation still preserving the legend and a source of spiritual awakening for the Korean people in the face of racial and national crisis [2].

Continues into the three kingdoms, namely Koguryo, Paekche and Silla. At times it seems only the famous idu writing system and affect the Korean culture now, especially in South Korea because it is still studied idu South Koreans today. Idu at that time was developed to translate the words in Korean into China's earliest written form, because at this time a scholar named Sol Ch'ong of the kingdom of Silla mensistemasisasi and processing system [3].

Then, when it wants to master the three kingdoms of Korea in the name of a kingdom or a fine is the unification of the Korean language. Begin, the culture of war or hostility to one another (royal sentiment) [4].

Finally, the three kingdoms that can be united under the flag of the kingdom of Silla and it combines the three kingdoms, culture, is created Bulguksa Temple made of Silla Buddhists, the teaching-Cu-Hu Kong, which is used as the basic social system of society, but was teaching Kong-Hu- Cu, only grown in Paekche, and making a star-Ch'omsongdae observatory, to the monument Ssanggyong that began in the Koguryo kingdom.

Forward to a medieval precisely the 16th century, in Korea there is a war admiral named, Admiral Yi Sun-Sin was he who made anti-ship of the world's first bullet-named "turtle ship", to counter the Japanese invasion.

When Japan invaded Korea, of course, there is Japanese culture, which is assimilated into Korean culture, is seen from the Korean traditional clothing called hanbok, which is a blend of Japanese and kimono-style cotton dress Korea. Then, when the Europeans, were coming to Korea they brought Christianity to Korea and hard work ethic and individualism plus European-style liberalism and European imperialism.

When World War ended, the Korean experience vacuum of power, such as Indonesia, but, ultimately by the United Nations, the United States and the Soviet Union, Korea was divided two right in the line of 38 degrees, into South Korea and North Korea. CONCLUSION

The division of Korea into South Korea and North Korea, of course led to cultural differences in the conduction of both. If, in South Korea, the embrace of liberal culture in North Korea embrace social style. Later, South Korean people are very open with his country, then North Korea closed.

From here we can say that it seems, North Korea had inherited only a few culture-unite the Korean culture because, in sharp contrast with the current North Korean culture. Small example, if the united Korean culture teaches them to open but, instead of North Korea shut down. Meanwhile, Korean culture is still firmly attached together on North Korea may be a myth Tan'Gun, because the kingdom is located in Asadah Tan'Gun or what we now call the North Korean capital, Pyongyang.

Conversely, with South Korean culture they inherited almost all united Korea. Because, indeed cultural sites are also widely available here. And the cultural ideal of the united Korean culture, very eloquently applied by the South Korean society, such as teaching-Cu-Hu Kong, who ordered his followers to good to fellow humans, whether for animals, both to God and honest and open in all issues affecting his followers . Thus, it can be said of South Korean culture now is a result of the cultural heritage of Korea United.
